How to play Fishing Party
Everything you need, from your first name to the last boss. Every price, level and time here comes from the code of version 38.
Home / Games / Fishing Party / Guide
Getting started
- Pick a name. Open the game, type a nickname of 2–16 characters (letters, digits, spaces and _), then choose your shirt and hair colours.
- Choose how to join. Play now puts you in a public room of up to 32, with NPC fishermen for company. Create room opens a private room of up to 16 with a 6-character code. Join room lets you type the code a friend sent.
- Invite friends. In a private room, tap the room's name at the top right to open the Room panel, then press Copy code or Share the invite link.
The recovery code: keep it safe
The game has no account or password. Your progress is saved on the server and tied to the browser you play in. Open Settings (the gear at the top) → Account to see your code, written FPG-XXXX-XXXX, then press Copy and keep it somewhere safe.
Without the code, clearing your browser's data or changing device loses your coins, rod, bag and farm. With it, open Account on the new device, type the code, press Restore, then Use this account. Pressing New code makes the old one stop working. From a Lv3 rod or 2,000 coins, a Write down your recovery code card (See code / Later) reminds you every 7 days until you press I wrote it down in Account.
Controls
Computer
- WASDwalk (or the arrow keys)
- Mouseclick the ground to walk there, click a fishing spot to walk to it and sit
- Spacesit at the nearest spot, cast, pull; elsewhere, the action key
- Bpick a bait, once you have some

Phone
- The joystick on the left to walk; tapping the ground does not move you.
- The round button on the right: CAST, PULL!, REEL IN. Next to a free spot one press sits you down and casts; the button is grey away from a spot.
- If a fish bites while a panel is open, BITE! Tap to pull shows up: tap it.
- The Emotes button next to the menu drops emotes and stickers.
- Play it upright or turned on its side.
The round button's word (and Space) follows where you stand: SOW, REAP, FEED, TAKE, CARE on the farm; BAIT, BOARD, SCALE at the Harbour; OFFER at the Sacred Grove's shrine; TAKE WOOD and LIGHT at Ice Lake; HIT in the dungeon.
Fishing, step by step
- Sit. Walk to a free fishing spot and press Space or the round button: you sit at the nearest free one. Rocky Point on Starter Lake needs a Lv2 rod.
- Cast. Press again to cast, then wait: a fish bites after 5 to 20 seconds.
- A bite! When BITE! shows, you have 2 seconds to press PULL!. Too late and the fish gets away.
- The reel bar. A cursor sweeps the bar for 5 seconds. Press once while it is in the green zone to land the fish; miss and it escapes. The rarer the fish, the narrower the green: with a Lv1 rod it is 30 % for Common, 22 % Uncommon, 15 % Rare, 8 % Legendary.
- Caught one! The catch card shows the weight, the length, and New! for a species new to your Fishdex. On a computer you can Show off; on a phone you get Show off, Sell and Keep.

Four rarities: Common (grey), Uncommon (blue), Rare (purple), Legendary (gold). Hakj is the legend that lives everywhere: 0.5 % of every bite, three times that in the Golden Fish Hour. With a full bag (50 at first) you can still fish: the catch goes into the Fishdex, not the bag.
The 3-beat reel at sea
At sea you must hit the green zone 3 times in 9 seconds, and after each hit the cursor runs 15 % faster. The green zone is 70 % of a lake's, and 3 points narrower for a fish over 4 m long.
Each miss strains the line (Line: 0/1 slips). A Lv10–11 rod takes 1 slip, Lv12–13 takes 2, Lv14–15 takes 3. One more and The line broke! The fish escaped; the bait was spent at the cast.
Coins and your rod
Coins come from selling fish, quests, Fishdex rewards, crops, animal products and the dungeon's chests. Each species has its own price: on the lakes Common 5–13 coins, Uncommon 15–48, Rare 50–285, Legendary 200–900; at the Open Sea a Common fish already fetches 150–230 and a Legendary 4,000–6,000. Hakj sells for 500.
What to buy first?
- A Lv2 rod (100 coins): opens Rocky Point and Coral Reef, and the green zone grows by 5 points.
- Lv3 (300 coins), then Lv4 (800): Ice Lake and Firefly Swamp, then the Sacred Grove; 5 more points of green each. From Lv5 each level adds 1 point and bites come 2 % sooner; Lv5–8 also open new crops, Shrimp bait, the Far Point seats and a suit (see the table).
- On the farm: sow wheat (4-coin seeds, ripe in 5 minutes) to make Bran bait, and open the field's last 4 plots for 200 coins.
- A bigger bag once yours keeps filling up: 75 places for 300 coins, 100 for 800, 150 for 2,000, 200 for 5,000.
The rod path, Lv1–15

Lv1 to Lv15 costs 213,200 coins in all. The Richest board counts half the price of the rod you have.
Fishdex rewards
The Fishdex has a tab for each place; the species you have not caught are dark shapes marked ???. Catch every species of a place (Hakj aside) for a one-time reward.
| Place | Species | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Starter Lake | 26 | 350 coins |
| Coral Reef | 82 | 9,300 coins |
| Ice Lake | 76 | 11,200 coins |
| Firefly Swamp | 29 | 2,400 coins |
| Sacred Grove | 29 | 4,700 coins |
| Harbour | 3 | 30 coins |
| Open Sea | 50 | 40,000 coins |
The Shop
The Shop has 3 tabs: Upgrade (rod, bag), Outfits (hats, shirts, accessories and sets) and Stickers. 32 outfit pieces cost 50–1,000 coins, apart from the Deep-sea Diver's Suit at 3,000 (from a Lv8 rod) and the Dungeon Protective Suit at 15,000 (from Lv12); the 8 sets are 15 % cheaper than buying the pieces. Some unlock once you can reach a new place, after 10 Rare-or-better catches, with a complete Coral Reef Fishdex, or are sold only around Tet. 35 stickers cost 30–500 coins, plus 6 free emotes; pick 5 for your quick bar.
The farm
The house door on Starter Lake leads to your own farm; no rod level needed, just step up into the doorway. The farm is private: you never see anyone else there.
Sow, reap and sell
Buy seeds at the stall (BUY), stand in front of an empty plot and press SOW, then REAP when it is ripe. Crops keep growing while you are away. Sell the produce from the bag's Farm tab. Green beans, cucumber, hops, grapes, strawberries and dragon fruit give 3 harvests per sowing; the last two open with a Lv5 rod.
You start with 8 plots. The field's last 4 open together for 200 coins. 18 more plots of wild land are cleared one after another: the first for 200 coins, each next one 50 more (11,250 for all 18), 30 plots in all.
| Crop | Seed | Grows | Yield | Sells each | Rod | Again |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wheat | 4 coins | 5 min | 2 | 4 coins | Lv1 | – |
| Lettuce | 6 coins | 10 min | 2 | 7 coins | Lv1 | – |
| Chili | 10 coins | 15 min | 3 | 6 coins | Lv1 | – |
| Sunflower | 30 coins | 2 h | 2 | 25 coins | Lv1 | – |
| Pumpkin | 60 coins | 8 h | 1 | 150 coins | Lv1 | – |
| Green beans | 15 coins | 20 min | 3 | 5 coins | Lv2 | after 15 min, 3 harvests |
| Cucumber | 20 coins | 30 min | 3 | 6 coins | Lv2 | after 20 min, 3 harvests |
| Cauliflower | 25 coins | 1 h | 1 | 55 coins | Lv2 | – |
| Hops | 40 coins | 1 h 30 min | 4 | 8 coins | Lv3 | after 1 h, 3 harvests |
| Grapes | 50 coins | 3 h | 4 | 10 coins | Lv3 | after 2 h, 3 harvests |
| Pineapple | 90 coins | 12 h | 1 | 200 coins | Lv4 | – |
| Strawberry | 60 coins | 4 h | 3 | 18 coins | Lv5 | after 2 h, 3 harvests |
| Dragon fruit | 80 coins | 8 h | 2 | 45 coins | Lv5 | after 4 h, 3 harvests |
Fertilizer and bait
Put Common fish in the compost barrel (COMPOST): 1 fish makes 1 Fish fertilizer. Use it on a growing plot (FEED) to halve the time left, once per sowing. Manure from cleaning pens works the same way.
In the bag's Farm tab, press Make bait: 1 wheat makes 5 Bran bait (Uncommon ×1.5), 1 sunflower 5 Seed bait (Rare ×2, Legendary ×3), 1 egg 4 Egg bait (Uncommon and Rare ×1.3). From a Lv6 rod, a Common shrimp's card in the bag makes 4 Shrimp bait: Rare ×2.5. Pick a bait with the chip by the round button or the B key; every cast uses one.

Pens and animals
Open and upgrade pens and buy animals at the Barn (BARN), Market tab. A new farm comes with a chicken coop, 2 chickens and a full trough.
| Pen | Rod | Open / upgrades (coins) | Holds | Feed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chicken coop | Lv1 | 300 / 1,000 / 2,500 | 4 / 8 / 12 | bran |
| Pond | Lv1 | 800 / 2,000 | 4 / 8 | fish meal or bran; plus 4/8 fish |
| Pigsty | Lv2 | 1,000 / 1,500 | 2 / 4 | bran, or lettuce, cucumber, cauliflower |
| Pasture | Lv2 | 1,500 / 2,000 / 5,000 | 3 / 6 / 8 | hay |
| Animal | Price | Rod | Grows up in | Product | Every | Sells |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chicken | 120 coins | Lv1 | 2 h | Egg | 4 h | 15 coins |
| Duck | 200 coins | Lv1 | 3 h | Duck egg | 6 h | 28 coins |
| Fry | 15 coins | Lv1 | – | Pond fish | 12 h | 40 coins |
| Pig | 600 coins | Lv2 | 8 h | Truffle | 8 h | 70 coins |
| Cow | 1,200 coins | Lv2 | 24 h | Milk | 12 h | 110 coins |
| Goat | 900 coins | Lv3 | 18 h | Goat milk | 12 h | 85 coins |
| Buffalo | 2,500 coins | Lv4 | 36 h | Buffalo milk | 24 h | 320 coins |
Care: pour feed into the trough (it holds 3 rounds for the whole pen), draw water (one draw lasts 24 hours and can be topped up once 20 hours or less are left), clean the pen (one step dirtier every 12 hours, at most 3; cleaning gives Manure) and press TAKE when something is ready. The pond needs no water and never gets dirty. At the Barn, bran costs 3 coins and hay 5; the Mill turns 1 wheat into 4 bran or 2 hay, and 1 Common fish into 3 fish meal. The pasture's haystack grows by 1 bundle an hour, up to 10. A fry for the pond costs 15 coins or one Common fish, and becomes a Pond fish 12 hours later.
Hearts: each animal has 0–5, and 2 when bought. Pet them once a day (CARE) while the pen is not too dirty and has water: +1 heart; skip a whole day: −1 heart. At 4 hearts a cycle has a 25 % chance of 2 products, at 5 hearts 50 %. Without water, or at 1 heart, products come 1.5 times slower. Animals never die. A grown buffalo with 3 hearts or more ploughs the empty plots once a day: the next sowing there grows 25 % faster.
Visiting a friend's farm
Open the Players list (the two-people button at the top) and press Visit farm by a roommate's name. You see their plots, pens, animals and guestbook as last saved, never their coins or bag.
At a pen (HELP): draw water once 20 hours or less are left (not at the pond), or pour up to 2 units of your own feed. Each help pays 5 coins if both you and the owner have played for 30 minutes. Each pen once a day; one player gives at most 10 helps a day, one farm takes at most 10.
At the barn (BOOK): sign the guestbook with one of the ready-made lines, once a day. Visitors cannot sow, reap, collect or buy. Press Leave to go back to Starter Lake. Back home, the owner hears what happened and can read it in the Barn's Guestbook tab.
Quests and leaderboards
Open the menu button (three lines, top left) → Quests. Each day has 5 quests worth 15–80 coins each, 250 at most in all; each week has 3 worth 120–350 each, 800 at most. There is always at least one fishing and one farm task, such as catching Uncommon-or-better fish, fishing at several spots, sowing or cleaning pens. When one is done, press Claim. New quests come at 00:00 each day and 00:00 on Monday, Vietnam time.
Leaderboards
Press the gold cup under the room's name. There are 5 boards: Richest (coins, the fish in your bag, half your rod's price, the bag, outfits, stickers, land and animals; all time only), Most fish, Most hours (at most 8 hours a day, and it stops counting after 2 idle minutes), Records (your heaviest catch, from anywhere) and Dungeon (final bosses defeated, with your fastest clear). Each shows the top 20 and your own rank, for the week (from 00:00 Monday) and of all time.
The Harbour and the boat
A Lv10 rod opens Coral Reef's fifth gate to the Harbour. Auntie Tu sells sea bait there (BAIT), Old Bay runs the boat (BOARD) and Uncle Nam hangs the heaviest sea fish of each player in the room on his scale rack (SCALE). The harbour has 10 fishing spots with 3 kinds of bait fish, all Common, worth 4–6 coins.
Sea bait
Squid bait 40 coins (Uncommon ×1.5), Live herring 100 (Rare ×2), Glow lure 200 (Legendary ×3), up to 10 at a time. Live bait is swapped, not sold: 1 Common fish gets you 1, 1 bait fish from the harbour gets you 3; fish caught on it are 10 % longer. Sea bait works anywhere.
The trip
Press BOARD by Old Bay: the boat has 5 seats and needs a Lv10 rod. Take a seat and say you are ready; once everyone is, the leader presses Set off. A seat held 90 seconds without being ready is given up. The 10,000-coin fare is split between the riders; everyone must have enough, or nobody pays. The fare each:
| 1 riding | 2 riding | 3 riding | 4 riding | 5 riding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 coins | 5,000 coins | 3,334 coins | 2,500 coins | 2,000 coins |
The boat sails out for 10 seconds, stays at sea for 10 minutes and sails back for 10 seconds, and you can fish the whole way. Leaving early gives no refund. Every trip sails its own boat to its own Open Sea, so several can be out at once: up to 3 trips a room, and when all 3 are out, wait for one to come back. On Sunday from 03:45 to 04:15 (Vietnam time) it does not leave, as maintenance is due.
The Open Sea
50 species: 15 Common, 15 Uncommon, 13 Rare, 7 Legendary. Without bait, bites take 1.5 times longer. A 2–4 m fish is carried on one shoulder; anything over 4 m is too big to hold and can only be shown off. Your heaviest goes on the Records board and on Uncle Nam's rack.
Events on a trip, never at the same time: a tuna shoal runs past (60 seconds, bites twice as fast) on every trip; the Whale swims by and blesses the boat (30 seconds, Legendary ×2, it cannot be caught) one trip in two; a storm (90 seconds, the Storm Marlin hunts, and bites only then) one trip in three.
The dungeon
A Lv15 rod opens the Sacred Grove's fifth gate to the Dungeon Gate. To go down you must wear the Dungeon Protective Suit (Shop, 15,000 coins, sold from a Lv12 rod) and pay a 10,000-coin ticket, taken when you set off; the party leaves only if everyone can pay. A run takes 1–4 players: take a seat, pick a class, then say you are ready.

How a fight feels
A hurt monster has an HP bar over its head; the golem, an Elite and the boss always do. Blows and skills are drawn at their real size and time, as the server counts them, and each class has its own blow: the Fighter's oar, the Mage's water orb, the Archer's harpoon, the Assassin's two quick cuts. Every hit sparks, the monster stops for a moment and jolts back, and pixel damage numbers float up (a skill in yellow, poison in green, the HP you lose in red); a kill, a heavy skill or a boss's slam gives a light shake. Marks over a monster show it stunned, slowed, poisoned or taunted. The dungeon has its own sounds for every blow and skill. When a boss reel fails, the whole party knows at once and REEL comes back for the others.

A run
3 floors, 10 rooms. Floor 1: two fight rooms, then a choice of Small chest or Spring. Floor 2: a fight, an Elite, a choice of Materials ×2 or Blessing, then the Sub-boss (a golem). Floor 3: the Rest camp, a fight and the Boss. Clear a room, stand in the doorway for 3 seconds and the party moves on; at a fork, stand at the door you want to vote. The run map at the right shows where you are.
Each room has a clock: a fight 1:30, an Elite 2:00, the golem 2:30, the Boss 4:00; past it everyone loses 3 % HP a second, then 5 %, then 8 %. At 0 HP you are DOWN: a friend standing by you for 3 seconds gets you up with 30 % HP; with nobody for 10 seconds you are out of the run. After the golem a rope ladder takes you home early with everything you picked up; Leave (pressed twice) keeps your loot too.
Bosses, and reeling one up
Each day the whole server has one theme: Volcano mine, Arctic, Deep forest or Old dock, each with its boss: the Giant Fire Eel, the Ice Pike, the Snakehead Spirit, the Shipwreck Octopus. At 66 % and 33 % HP the boss dives for up to 12 seconds and cannot be hit: run to the fishing spot (the gold ring), press REEL and hit the green zone 3 times (a 9-second bar, 28 % green, 3 slips allowed). Reel it up and it is stunned for 5 seconds and takes ×1.5 damage. One player reels at a time.
Loot
Every monster drops coins and materials for each player; the boss chest holds 6,000 coins. 20 shirts and hats drop only in the dungeon, along with 10 name effects, from Gold rim to Dragon aura, which also show on the leaderboard on the game's page. One you already own turns into coins: 300, 1,000, 3,000 or 10,000 by rarity. After eight runs in a row with no drop, the boss chest is sure to give one you do not have. The first boss of each theme gives an Honour sticker, and the Dungeon board counts the final bosses you defeat.
Monsters can drop whole: small ones (blobs, crabs, flyers) 2 %, the golem 10 %, the boss 25 %. A whole one goes into your bag (10 at most), then into the Trophy cabinet (30 places) by your farm's barn, and past that it turns into coins. A whole boss also hangs on the Harbour's scale rack for 24 hours.
Tips
- The Golden Fish Hour comes 10 minutes after a room opens, then every 20 minutes, lasts 5 minutes and is announced 30 seconds ahead: Hakj and each place's legends ×3.
- Bubbles: each place always has one spot bubbling for 3 minutes before they move on. There, bites come twice as fast, Uncommon ×1.25, Rare ×1.5.
- Rain: every 8 minutes there is a 40 % chance of rain. Each lake has one species that bites only in the rain: the Starry Stingray (Coral Reef), the Ice Dragonfish (Ice Lake), the Ghost Eel (Firefly Swamp), the Giant Devil Catfish (Sacred Grove).
- The Sacred Grove's shrine: offer a Rare fish from your bag and the whole place gets Legendary ×3 for 10 minutes; more offerings add up, to 30 minutes at most. An offered fish is gone for good.
- Quick selling: the bag has Sell all Common. For Rare and Legendary fish the game asks before selling.
- Showing off: a small fish in one hand, a medium one hugged, a large one on both shoulders, a 2–4 m one on one shoulder; anything over 4 m, press Show off to lay it out for the room.
- Dungeon: clear a fight room with more than half its time left for a bonus chest. From your 6th run of the day, material drops are halved.
- Lost connection: your place is kept for 30 seconds to come back. Do nothing for 5 minutes and you are taken out of the room.
- Far Point: from a Lv7 rod, the first 5 fishing places (Starter Lake, Coral Reef, Ice Lake, Firefly Swamp, Sacred Grove) each have a seat at the tip of a point out in the water. There Rare fish are ×1.3, on top of the place's events; NPC fishermen never sit there and the bubbles never come.
FAQ
I lost my progress?
Progress is tied to the browser you play in. Clear the browser's data, play in a private window or switch device, and the game sees a new player. If you wrote down your recovery code: Settings → Account → Restore. Without the code it cannot be brought back. A message that your data could not be loaded means the server could not read it just then; nothing was overwritten, so try again later.
Can I install it like an app on my phone?
Yes. On a phone the lobby has an Install game button. On an iPhone the game shows you how: the browser's Share button → Add to Home Screen. In the game, Settings → Install app does it too. It opens full screen, upright or on its side.
No sound, or want the music off?
The speaker button at the top left turns the sound on or off. Settings has Music and Sound effects, each with its own on/off switch and volume slider (50 % and 70 % to begin with), and Screen shake for the dungeon's shake. On a phone the game goes quiet while you are in another app.
How do I change the language?
The lobby and Settings both have Language: Tiếng Việt or English. The first time, the game follows your browser's language.
How do I play with friends?
One of you presses Create room and sends the 6-character code or the invite link; the others press Join room and type it. A private room holds up to 16 and has no NPC fishermen. In the same room you can visit each other's farms.
Who are the fishermen in public rooms?
They are NPC fishermen: while a place is quiet, a few of them sit, fish and chat to keep it lively, 10 at most in a room. They give up their seat when you want it, and never come to private rooms.
The numbers in this guide come from the code of Fishing Party version 38 (20 Oct 2026). The screenshots were taken on a test server; the names in them are test names.
